Blue crochet

I can only apologise for my lack of existence over the past week and a half, I’ve been super busy finishing for the summer in my school and I haven’t quite been myself lately. However, I’m feeling much better now, so I’m once again back on the fashion wagon.
I’ve had a few days off this week, so I’ve spent them working out and spending time with friends and family. I also helped out with a photo shoot in Aintree Racecourse for next year’s Grand National, Ladies day posters. I got to dress up, wear a hat bigger than my head and drink wine, so the day as an overall was fun. I also managed to fall in love with next season’s River Island clothing. I never thought I’d be wishing for winter, but my god, their new coats are dreamy.
Feminine, intricate crochet and lace is a beautiful must have trend this year. The dreamy midi skirt above is perfect for the style knowledge kinda gal. The design features a crochet overlay and a side zip fasten up. I teamed the heavenly baby blue skirt with a matching crop top. The crop top is actually completely see through, so wearing something under was a must. I adore the colour, I’ve never really owned many baby blue clothes before, and I’ve never felt like the colour suited me very much. I paired the delicate detailed two piece with matching blue pointed court heels, these beauts are only from New look, can you believe it? I can’t say they survived the day… but totally worth it.
The two piece is from Missguided for anyone who is interested. I'd highly recommend, the material is really comfy and it fits like a glove.
I hope everyone’s week has been fun. The weather has once again been horrific, but I’m not surprised, I do live in Liverpool. I’m out tomorrow night in Liverpool to celebrate my best friend turning 23, and Sunday I have a good friends christening, so this weekend is going to be a busy one.
Have a good day. Thank you for taking your time reading as always, Check out my Instagram for more fashion bits and bobs - www.instagram.com/chelslous

Exploring Spain

Cheers to yet another bank holiday! I hope everyone's hangover's aren't as bad as I can imagine them to be. Not drinking alcohol as much as I used to has really benefited me as a person, unless it's a special occasion or I really want to, I wont drink anymore, I feel so much healthier inside and out because of it. I've had loads on my mind the past week, I'll be making some decisions this week that will change my lifestyle loads and hopefully open me up to having more time for myself and to progress in what I want to do and be in the future. I'm defiantly ready to move on now, it's about time I properly started living.

Today I thought I’d share my little day out exploring the beautiful town of Mao, Menorca. This place was beautiful, I couldn't believe just how amazing it was until we walked up to the highest point and looked out over the water and buildings, the sight was breath taking. Mao is only small, there isn't much to do there, however, if you want somewhere lovely and quiet to visit with amazing street foods, visit here.
We ended up looking around the cute little stores, and came home with some lovely little goodies for family and friends. The food was also really tasty, I've never quite had anything like it to be honest, but I enjoyed it.

On to the outfit. I wore the cutest little two piece from Motel Rocks, and my holiday favourite slip on sandals from Forever 21. This co ord is just beautiful, the material is suprising really comfortable considering it's meant to be made out of denim. I adore the pattern and colour, the baby blue and white looked so lovely with the Spain weather, it reminded me of a cloud. The weather wasn't amazing this day, however, we made the most of it. I can't wait to go back next year!

I've finally sorted my outfits for the birthday, and I'm really looking forward to getting my dancing shoes on for a night with the girls. I've purchased the most insane knee high boots (I honestly never thought I would see the day when I finally bought some knee high boots, and actually felt comfortable and confident enough to wear them), I'm finally ready to channel my inner Kylie Jenner. I've had a really long week and weekend, so today I'm finally going to chill out  with my guy and enjoy the summery day over countless amounts of toast and tea and lovely company, enjoy the end of your weekend everyone!

Date night

Cheers to the impending weekend

Another week... another date night with the other half. It's time to let your hair down and take a breather from all the hard work you completed this week! Why not start the weekend off with a date to your favourite Italian? Carbonara anyone? (my favourite).

I love date night. I've always enjoyed being able to dress up and be able to go for something nice to eat (and a few glasses of red wine). It's one of those perks in life isn't it? Spending time with people you love? It's one of mine for sure.
So now you've landed the awesome date, what are you going to wear? I normally find it hard to find something nice and fashionable when I'm going for something to eat. I never like to wear anything too clingy because I bloat easy after a meal and there's nothing worse than feeling like the food you just ate. I tend to stick to anything that isn't too tight around the waist and stomach (so I can get away with eating more of course).
Neutral colours are my thing at the moment, after purchasing a few items from my favourite's at Missguided last week, I wanted to wear something that was very up-to-date, however, not too over the top, seeing as we where only going for a casual meal and some drinks after. I chose to stick within my comfort zone with a familiar style favourite...a co-ordinate.

The co ord is light pink and very Kimmy K! the style queen herself (as I've mentioned before... not the biggest fan of hers, but the girl got style). The top is a simple long sleeved crop that has a high roll neck, a complete show trend setter, and the skirt is ruffled which was perfect because it wasn't too tight on my stomach (and you couldn't see my food baby after the meal).

This co-ord is very simple, however stands a serious chance in the fashion game! I couldn't wait to find an excuse to try it out myself. I paired it up with my new Public Desire beauties I mentioned in my last post, it gave the look that extra fashionable feel to it.

Once again I wore minimal makeup. Simple black eye liner and my new lipstick from Illamasqua in shade 'Buff' finished the look nicely.

(Here's some snaps of what we ate! I obviously got desert because I have a massive sweet tooth lately), waffles and pancakes are my thing at the moment.

If you are interested in buying this co-ord, it's still available on the Missguided website. You can also purchase it in different colours (I really love the grey version) -

Thanks for reading! I'm involved in a fashion shoot this weekend, so I can't wait to share the looks I have in store. Check out my Instagram for more fashion bits and bobs - www.instagram.com/chelslous
