Little day out in Liverpool

Orange Wednesdays are no more? nightmare!

Liverpool? Fashionable? It’s worth going there? - Hell yeah, Liverpool is one of the most fashionable cities in Britain and I couldn’t be prouder to be a scouser!
I had an insanely busy week last week in my Fine Art university internship. On the Wednesday I had interviews all day and was seeing a good friend of mine afterwards for some food and the cinema, therefore I wanted to keep my outfit casual and smart, yet fashionable at the same time! And what better way to do casual… than monochrome. I’m digging monochrome at the moment, my life is full of early mornings and late nights so it’s quick and easy to put an outfit together when I'm under pressure (This is your life now Chelsea… embrace it).

I chose to wear a cute little black and white cropped jumpsuit and long line cardigan from Primark. The outfit did look very formal when I first put it together, however, I quickly fixed that problem with a pair of New look pumps I purchased a few days beforehand. These pumps are incredible! They’re pointed and have a lace up front. Lace up heels are really in fashion at the moment, so surely the flat versions would be a perfect way to keep up with the trend, yet comfortable at the same time (I'm constantly on my feet during weekdays so I stay away from heels altogether).

Wednesday is by far the best day to have a little browse around Liverpool, it's right in the middle of the week and there's always something to do. Other than shopping and the odd people watching, I've always loved the Art galleries in Liverpool. We visited my favourite, 'The Open Eye Gallery', located on the Albert dock. They have a remarkable black and white photography exhibition on at the moment (sticking to my love of monochrome).

This car was just chilling outside the gallery. If this isn't car porn... what is!?

We went for food shortly after, there's only so much belly rumbling you can ignore. Eggs are my favourite food at the moment, I just can’t get enough, so we went for food at ‘Moose café’ (they serve the most incredible pulled pork eggs Benedict and American style chocolate chip pancakes, I’m drooling just thinking about it). I also had a fresh mint and honey tea to wash the eggs down. Highly recommend anyone to go visit Moose if you're around Liverpool and fancy a tasty brunch!

We finished the evening with a Costa coffee and 'The Theory of everything' in Liverpool One Odeon cinema. Beautiful heart-wrenching film! Eddie Redmayne deserved that Oscar after the first ten minutes. Being complete women we both wanted to sob straight into ice cream straight after (preferably Ben & Jerry's phish food, that would have done the trick).

If you're interested in buying my outfit, you can purchase both the jumpsuit and long-line cardigan from Primark, and the lace up pumps from the New look website or in store.
