Missguided have a new store you say?

I honestly never win anything, and when a Missguided competition came around on twitter, of course I entered, but I didn't actually believe I would win. I was the lucky winner to go and visit Missguideds new store in Manchester (Selfridges) in the Trafford Centre, and whilst there, be styled by two of Miss G’s own in the house stylists. I even got to take some of my favourite pieces home… £150 worth actually; it was a good day all around.

I mentioned I was going to upload everything I brought home with me, but I really don’t want to spoil the surprise with some upcoming shoots I have planned. However, above shows one of the dresses I brought home with me, a beautiful lattice black body-con dress (I was lucky enough to be on Missguided's own instagram wearing this dress).
Lattice dresses and bodysuits are my ultimate clothes porn at the moment; I seem to be drawn to anything that you can tie up at the front, especially if it’s black. My love towards black has grown once again over the last few months, and with summer coming in, it’s probably not the best idea, but who cares? At least I’ll look super sleek whilst tanning.

My experience with the Miss G girls was awesome. They were lovely girls, and made me feel really welcome whilst looking around the little store picking out bits and bobs for me to try on. I wasn't very keen on some of the items chosen, however, I’m open minded to when someone picks me out clothes, I even agreed after trying a few on. I've always had my own style, and what I prefer to stay away from, however, after being styled by professionals, it’s definitely opened my eyes. There was a time when I wouldn't go near short dresses and low cut tops, but now I’ll rock the body-con lattice look any day, and why not? All girls should be confident in their own skin, big or small… we've all got our own insecurities right? Mine are no different than the rest, however, we all have our own favourite things, and I concentrate on them as much as I can whilst shopping!

Missguided has always been my favourite online retailer, ever since the beginning years ago. So you can imagine my excitement when I won, it was honestly the best experience, and I’m so happy that I was able to be a part of it. I also managed to bag myself some amazing statement pieces for my wardrobe, but you’ll soon see them.

I hope everyone’s week has been nice and quick. Mine wasn't as busy as I thought it would be considering last week was hectic. I’m really enjoying having more time for myself since I left my job, focusing on what I really want to do... this has been a substantial thing for me the last few weeks.

Before I go, I want to quickly thank everyone for their continued support over the last few months, you have all been amazing. I would also like to ask for your support for a charity that has been set up for a friend of mines family. Chas and Rebecca Knight have sought to make a difference after the loss of their first, a little girl called Pip, during pregnancy at week 22. The link to the facebook page where you can get all the information on the tragedy of what has happened to this beautiful couple, and how they are rising above it. There is also a link to their gofundme page where you can make donations to aid their cause.
Thank you.
