It's beginning to look alot like christmas...

Good morning all, I hope everyone’s week went well. Can you believe it’s December already?

Christmas is approaching and I couldn’t be happier about opening my advent calendar and finishing present shopping for friends and family. (I’m aware I’m 23 years old, but I refuse to get rid of old traditions. And let’s be honest here, advent calendar chocolate is like no other). Other than the hundreds of reasons why we all love Christmas, my least favourite thing would be this horrific wet weather that annoyingly comes with it. I adore the dark nights and winter fashion, however, when it becomes almost impossible to not look like a wet mop everyday, that’s where the love ends. This week was one of those weeks. So how can we solve this problem? With a winter coat of course!
Let me share with you this outstanding trend that I can’t see leaving the street fashion anytime soon. During those vile crispy cold mornings we will need something cosy and comfy, that’ll make us warm, yet help us look stylish at the same time. It turns out we have this kind of clothing, and it’s a camel coat. Camel coats are STILL in, and will they ever be out? Despite their annual appearance, I believe this season has some of the best offerings so far.
It’s no surprise that this season’s popular coats are still military, grungy and lace detailed. But what about camel? Well, this outerwear design reflects classic elegance and a luxe touch. There are so many different fits lately, including slouchy, super tailed, oversized, menswear inspired, baggy, long/short, double breasted and many other beautiful designs. The look that seems to be catching on would be the oversized look, collar popped, sleeves rolled up and calf length. Camel is an effortless, classy and sophisticated outerwear.
Every style is slightly different, yet still looks perfect. That’s why you don’t necessarily have to worry about your appearance as much. Modern fashion has no rules. That’s why contemporary looks give us anarchy in style, I for one adore those trench inspired and blazer camel coats. Both Topshop and Missguided have a wonderful range of beautiful designs that’ll make any girl fall instantly fall in love.
If we speak about colours, then modern fashion doesn’t give a touch to any colour. Hence why many women wear camel with red, prints, green, blue and other colours.

So, to end a conclusion to my own personal thoughts, I want you to take a seat, have a little think about what you really want in a coat? And if you don’t have any thoughts, then get yourself a modern camel coat and you’ll be bang on the trend.

The coat I am wearing above is from Zara. It was love at first sight when I saw this beauty. I love the oversized heavy look, it’s super comfy and I don’t feel as exposed from the horrible weather as I usually do. I would normally wear this jacket with a pair of jeans and a polo neck jumper, however, for today’s look I wanted to keep the outfit dressy and sophisticated.
I paired the overweight camel coat with my black Missguided high neck bodycon dress and Public desire knee high boots. I think the boots give the look that extra fashionable finish.
If you're interested in purchasing this beaut of a coat, it is still available on both website and in store Zara.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend despite the vile weather that is approaching. Check back through the week for more outfit of the days and fashion trends.
